Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and hello :)



Hello everyone :)!

We are The Whitechapel Baking Club. We are based in The Whitechapel Centre in Liverpool. We are people from the different backrounds and we love to bake!
Every two weeks we will share with you new recipe. 
Today we made chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. It was yum!



Ingredients for a cake:

3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
3 cups of flour
1 cup of milk
4 tbls of cocoa
Half jar of jam (any jam)
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 or 2 tablespoons of grounded cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger mixture

1. Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius degrees (gas mark 4). 
2. Combine all ingredients for dough. Mix it until you see air bubbles. 
3. Pour the batter into buttered and sprinkled tin with flour. 
4. Bake in the middle of the oven shelf for about 1hour. When the cake is ready it will not stick to the edges of the cake tin.
5. Leave it to cool.




Ingredients for chocolate ganache

100 ml double cream
One milk chocolate
One plain chocolate

Melt the chocolate and combine it with cream.
Spread mixture over a cold cake.
